About ARRIBA
| KCR, short for Kwan Chiu Radio, was founded in 1950 by Huang Youjin, the father of the current chairman, Huang Kuo-chen. Initially focused on selling radio parts, "KCR" is actually the Japanese word for "tube ball," referring to vacuum tubes. Therefore, KCR was related to audio equipment from its inception, though at that time it only dealt in radios. Five years later, KCR officially began producing transformers, becoming a business with both electrical and electronic product manufacturing and sales capabilities. With Taiwan's economic development, it not only significantly expanded its production lines but also built factories in Taiwan and mainland China, becoming a cross-strait electronics and electrical engineering company. ARRIBA is a self-created brand of Crown Tube Audio, established in 1994, named after its honorary chairman, Chairman Huang.Mr. Huang YoujinDriven by profound enthusiasm for high-end audio and the emotive essence of pristine sound fidelity, we re-immersed ourselves in the hi-fi realm several years ago. Harnessing our core competency in precision transformer manufacturing, we pursued rigorous R&D and exacting optimization across design and production workflows. We invested significantly to engage audiophile engineers from JVC Corporation—our longstanding Japanese collaborator—in constructing a state-of-the-art professional-grade listening suite within our factory. This enables curated sessions for audio connoisseurs while enforcing stringent quality validation for our proprietary products. Preceding this endeavor, Kuan-Chiu Co., Ltd. (冠球) specialized in bespoke precision electromechanical and electronic subassemblies, serving critical applications such as transmission electron microscopes, computed tomography (CT) scanners, IC bonding equipment, and superconducting modules. Our Yangmei plant is thus replete with advanced metrology and quality assurance instrumentation. Committed to superlative standards, we forgo commoditized consumer electronics OEM, delivering instead premium core components for high-tech systems—sustaining unrelenting order volumes across our Taiwan and mainland China facilities.
